Law Firm
Legal Research
Law Firm Legal Research provides attorneys in the Pacific Northwest with a way to plan and conduct impartial legal focus groups involving real cases. To maintain the integrity of the process, participants who act as jurors will not be told which law firm is presenting the case until after the session concludes. We are currently inviting adults aged 18 and over who reside in Washington to participate in upcoming focus groups. Some focus groups will have residency requirements. Participants will receive compensation for their time, paid by check only. Details about residency requirements and compensation can be found on our Upcoming Focus Groups page.
Make Your Voice Count
Ever wondered what it’s like to see how real legal cases are built and tested? By joining a legal focus group, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how attorneys prepare for trial — and your opinions will help shape how justice is pursued. Focus group participants share honest reactions to evidence and arguments, helping attorneys understand how everyday people think about real cases. There are no right or wrong answers. We are seeking only your perspective, which makes a real difference.
It’s an interesting, respectful, and often eye-opening experience — and you’re compensated for your time. Join us and be part of something meaningful: helping ensure fairness and clarity in the courtroom, one case at a time.
Participants will serve as a mock juror, hearing a case summary presented by a neutral person or persons. A moderator will provide jury instructions like those used in real trials, and participants will deliberate as a group. The presentation will only be presented in English. Together, focus group participants will complete a jury verdict form and answer follow-up questions. These perspectives help attorneys better understand how the public views the facts of a real legal matter.
